Hi everyone! My name is Claire. I am the drummer for Irish Heavy Metal Band Dead Label. I have been playing with Dead Label for ten years. I have been using Zildjian cymbals since I started drumming. Looking up to my idols, Dave McClain, Lars Ulrich and Travis Barker, I saw that they all use Zildjian and their cymbal sound was always amazing. My favourite cymbals are China cymbals, and I can not be without my Oriental 21". I live, sleep and eat drums and I am usually found in the practise room, on stage or with my dog! :)

  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

    I get my inspiration from a couple of special sources. Number 1, my band mates. They are the most ambitious and hard working people I know and they inspire me to the best drummer I can be. I am also inspired daily by Dave McClain, he is the embodiment of a human drum machine with all the mystical talent of an alien! One show of his would inspire anyone to practise! Lars from Metallica always really made me want to go out and kill it live, when he plays, he plays with fire and I strive to bring that to every performance. My family inspire me to be the best person I can be and lastly Animal from the muppets, because he makes everyone want to hit harder!!!

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

    My best advice to any musician is work hard, never give up and practise every day. Do not let a day pass where you are not taking action to persue your dream.

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

    Well I am a sucker for the 20" Oriental, and every other size oriental China cymbal. Combo wise I really enjoy the sound of a nice 17" K and 19" K being played over a maple kit. They are the perfect recording cymbal and they are like velvet on your ears.
