Born in Lima, Peru and transplanted to New Jersey at age 11, Dave Chavarri is the drummer, founder, and producer of Latin Metal hybrid ILL NIa‘O. The former drummer of Soulfly, Pro-Pain, M.O.D., Merauder, Laaz Rockit and Gothic Slam crediting him with over 35 years of experience behind the kit.
Chavarri has written with and produced many great bands including: Ill Nino, Evolution Empire, Born In Blood, Saint Diablo, Exilia, Violent Delight, and many others selling over 2 Million records as a producer and drummer. Throughout the years Chavarri has co- produced and worked along many multi-platinum selling producers such as: Ron Saint Germain (Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Cure, Tool, U2), Jay Baumgardner (Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Korn, P.O.D.) and Bob Marlette (Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Seether, Shinedown, Saliva) just to name a few.
