  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

I'm inspired by the amazing musicians I get to work with on a regular basis, guest artists that come through town, world famous drummers like Carl Allen, Matt Wilson, Jeff Hamilton and Lewis Nash, as well as the other drummers on my local scene. I'm inspired when I listen to records. My colleagues and students at UD inspire me be keep learning and growing.

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

LIsten deeply to the type(s) of music you want to play, learn to tune your drums and get a great sound, find an older drummer that can serve as a mentor, play with musicians that are more experienced than you, learn songs, not just "beats", and don't be afraid of musical situations that are outside of your comfort zone.
