JJ Wallace has been playing the drums since the tender age of 2 after his parents discovered his rhythmic talents. Coming from a very musically gifted family and initially starting from a gospel background, he continued to expand his horizons throughout his teens, playing everything from classical percussion right through to experimental jazz and hip hop.
In 2018 he was crowned UK Young Drummer of the Year and from then his career has really taken off. JJ later performed masterclasses at the Royal College of Music as well as the UK Drum Show as a result of being the competitions winner. Following this he has appeared on the BBC One Show after being recognized as a œFuture Icon.
JJ has just completed his first UK headline tour with Celeste and after recent performances at Ronnie Scotts with DoomCannon and others, alongside a summer festival season consisting of shows at Primavera, Glastonbury and multiple other studio projects, JJ is rapidly becoming one of the brightest young prospects in the drumming community.
