Growing up in the music centric port town of San Pedro just south of Los Angeles, Kevin began his journey to become a professional musician at a young age. While piano was his first instrument at age 5, he soon realized drums were his true passion. Working with jazz/world music educator Jeanette Wrate Kangas (who also taught 'The Rev' of Avenged Sevenfold in his early years) Kevin quickly became a well rounded and confident player. He has a Bachelors Degree in Music Performance from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.
Kevin works extensively in the studio recording for bands, solo artists, television theme songs, and movie soundtracks. He is the drummer for Billboard #1 reggae rock band Stick Figure performing all over the world and many top US festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Hangout.
Kevin is also an avid drum instructor and founder of Backstage Music Lessons, a platform that connects fans with their favorite artists for unique learning experiences. He has personally worked with hundreds of drum students on tour and continues to offer lessons on the road and from his home studio.
More recently, he collaborated with Trevor Young of Grammy award winning band Soja and Kyle Wareham of Three Legged Fox to form the eclectic trio Algorhythm.
Kevin proudly uses Vic Firth drumsticks and Zildjian cymbals.
