  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

I am inspired by other artists and forms of art. Particularly listening to concerts and recordings, both jazz and classical, going to art museums, and playing in different sections of percussionists. I try to take pieces of information about music making and apply them to my own playing and teaching.

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

Say yes to as many opportunities as possible in the beginning, push yourself now while you have the time, and learn from as many people as you can. I would also encourage young percussionists to play drum set as it develops many skills that will help you on your journey. Lastly, I would treat everyone you meet in the industry as someone you are auditioning for so always be professional and respectful.
