In her book The New Face of Jazz, author Cicily Janus states "Marko's name is quickly becoming synonymous with greatness". Marko has performed and/or recorded with the likes of Matt Garrison, Wayne Krantz, Jonah Smith, Clarence Spady, Michael Henderson, Ole Mathisen, Jacques Schwartz-Bart, Dave Binney, Garry Willis, Hal Crook, Eli Degibri, Lionel Loueke, Aaron Goldberg, The Itals, The Kung Fu Masters, Chris McDermott, Ole Mathiesen, Tony Levin, Sten Hostfalt, The Mason Brothers, Eric Lewis and many others. Marko's 4th album as a leader of the NYC outfit Marko Djordjevic & Sveti, entitled Something Beautiful, received international attention.
In addition to performing, Marko is a Professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston and faculty member at The Drummer's Collective in NYC, where he resides. Marko is the author of the acclaimed DVD Where I Come From as well as the book The New Frontier for Drumset, both available through Alfred Publishing.
