Pierre Courbois is a leading jazz musicians (The Netherlands). In the early 60s he played with Kenny Drew, Jean-Luc Ponty, Eric Dolphy, Ben Webster, Stan Getz and Johnny Griffin Courbois. During his career he was at the forefront of new developments: In 1961 he started to experiment with The Free Jazz Quartet, followed by the Free Music Quintet, and in 1969 Courbois founded the first European jazz-rock group, Association P.C: winner of the Down Beat poll. Since then, Courbois formed several ensembles collaborating with greats and young talents from the European Jazz scene. During his career Courbois won several prizes: Boy Edgar Price, Bird Award and knighted by Dutch Royalty.

Pierre Courbois is currently playing with his PC Qwintett, CourboisCourbois, CSC, Loek Dikker Waterland,and Gong Duo. In 2020 Pierre Courbois will celebrate his 80th birthday with a tour called Sollisimo+. A solo Within this tour he will play a solo set and for the second part he will invite young musicians and musicians with whom he has worked throughout his career: Jesse Schilderink, Ilja Reijngoud, jasper van t Hof,Paul van Kemenade, Michiel Braam, Niko Langenhuijsen, Jan Menu and many more
