Puccio Panettieri, born in Catania, Sicily (June 25 1978) is one of the most sought after drummers in the Italian pop and rock music scene. Hes best known in Italy for his long-term collaboration with the iconic Sicilian singer- songwriter Carmen Consoli. Puccio appears on 8 albums and two concert DVDs of his and has participated on numerous live tours with her in Europe, North America and South America. His other long-term collaborations include Max Gazza¨ and Alessandro Mannarino. Puccios international career consists of live concerts with James Taylor Quartet, Patti Smith, recordings with the legendary Pink Floyd producer Bob Ezrin, the Grammy Award winning Coldplay producer Ken Nelson and Gary Lucas- the co-author of Jeff Buckleys Grace and Mojo Pin. Puccio has also played for Angalique Kidjo and Dolores ORiordan for their Italian productions. His drum performances can be heard on many Italian hits of major success including œSolito Sesso by Max Gazza¨, œSincerita by Arisa, œParole di Burro by Carmen Consoli and œApriti Cielo by Mannarino, to name a few. Currently, hes a part of the studio band on the Italian live tv broadcast œPropaganda Live.
