Sage Weeber – Drummer | Touring Musician | Session Artist

Born on March 5, 1998, in Rock Island, IL, Sage picked up drumsticks at just four years old—and never looked back.

Throughout his school years, he played in multiple ensembles and juggled between five to seven bands at a time. At just 12 years old, he embarked on his first tour with his high school Punk/Ska band, Fairhaven, continuing to tour during school breaks until graduating at 18.

In 2016, Sage moved to Los Angeles to attend the Musicians Institute. Soon after, he found himself in legendary recording studios and on major television sets, including Capitol Records, EastWest Studios, MTV, and Disney. Balancing school, three rehearsals a night, and relentless dedication, he quickly realized he was living the dream his younger self had imagined—surviving on three hours of sleep, playing on taped-together drumheads, and pushing through broken cymbals, all with a smile on his face.

Nearly a decade later, Sage now spends over 250 days a year on the road. His drumming has been featured on major television shows, including Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Ellen Show, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Late Night with Seth Meyers, MTV, BBC’s The One Show, and BBC’s Live Lounge.

He has performed alongside artists such as Bring Me The Horizon, Avril Lavigne, Landon Barker, and Benson Boone and has recorded over 150 records—amassing over a billion streams across all platforms. His work has contributed to a VMA nomination for “Push Performance of the Year” and a Grammy nomination.

Today, Sage continues to tour and record worldwide, constantly evolving as an artist while staying true to the passion that started it all—making sure his inner child is still smiling and using his drumming to connect with people across the globe.

  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

What inspires me every day is getting to do new things that 10 year old me wouldn't believe is real. If that's a new TV performance, playing a venue I grew up watching on YouTube, working with an artist/band I grew up skateboarding to, or even a city I've always dreamed of going to. These are the things that inspire me and show my younger self that your dreams and goals can manifest themselves into reality. This is something that I always tell younger drummers coming up. You CAN do anything you set your mind to. The universe is such a blank canvas, and it's really up to us to choose what that picture looks like. But the possibilities are endless.

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

It IS possible. You can do everything and more of what your dreams look like. There's a feeling that every musician has inside them. It's that feeling you get when you; learn your first really hard drum fill, play your first sold out show, get that call for an audition that feels like the whole world stops and that's the only thing that matters. Never stop chasing that feeling. It's almost like an unspoken language that all musicians (even all creatives) understand. The more you chase that feeling, the more you find new ways to stay inspired.

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

The 20" K Cluster Crash. I'll have one of those with me in my casket when my time comes.
