  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

Innovation and creativity in all walks of life inspire me the most. I love when you see or hear someone do something differently, their own way. It's amazing when you feel like you know someone just from the way they play. I also love exploring different sounds and I have a special attraction to the timbre of cymbals. They all have their unique character that you form a special relationship with. When I go to pick up new cymbals it's literally like being in the candy shop. So many exciting new sounds to discover and I always walk out with something new I wasn't expecting to get, but absolutely fell in love with. The best part is when you then get to incorporate your new sounds in the music / project you're working on.

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

Focus on exploring your sound and what YOU love about music. There is no right or wrong way to play and there are no right or wrong sounds. All that matters is what you like, so find what excites you and follow that path. Also read (or listen to) Rick Rubin's book 'The Creative Act: A Way Of Being'.

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

The set up I use touring with Anastacia is definitely my favourite (see below). Her show includes so many different genres and I find that this cymbal combo is bulletproof, it covers more than everything I need.
