Willy Demoz has played with many bands over the years, and has successfully completed a number of world tours. Early on in his musical career he played with some of Bangalore's favourite bands like Bhoomi, Slain and Allegro Fudge. He has also played with some of the biggest artists / bands in the country like Moksha, The Raghu Dixit Project, Sunitha Sarathy, Suneeta Rao, Vasundhara Das, Swarathma and Bryden-Parth. He has performed with Jim Whittaker of Steppenwolf and Santana fame and studied under the incredible Dom Moio in his brief stint in the US.
He has played more than 180 concerts internationally touring more than 9 countries in 4 continents in the last 9 years, and some of his favourite music festivals happen to be the Glastonbury Festival, Womad and Cambridge Folk Festival.
His current band Peepal Tree have a list of credits to their name. They won a nationwide songwriting competition and got to represent India at the ABU Radio Song Festival in Myanmar. Peepal Tree's debut album ""Chetana"" made it to the Grammy ballot. They have performed some of their own music with drumming legend Jojo Mayer joining in for a 2-drummer performance, with renowned bassist Christian Galvez also sitting in.
He also does sessions work, playing with some of his favourite musicians/composers such as Clinton Cerejo.
He started the Demoz School of Music to help pass on the knowledge he has gained in his many years on the road and in the studio.
