Born in Brussels in 1973, Zeke Martin entered the world with a pair of drumsticks in his hands. Influenced by his father, Stu Martin, who played with Jazz greats such as Herbie Hancock, John McLaughlin and Quincy Jones to name a few, Zekes musical repertoire includes a blend of Jazz, Funk, R&B, Reggae, Rock and more. In 1985, at the age of 12, Zeke had his first gig with Steve Lacy, in France. Shortly after, he moved to the United States where he began a successful career, including the formation of Zeke Martin & The Oracle in 2000. Since then The Oracle has released seven albums. Zekes unique and soulful style has enabled him to secure many endorsement deals. Zeke Martin has performed in many locations throughout the world with his band as well as with many other artists. Currently, Zeke resides in Boston, MA and he continues to perform with his band and teaches at Northeastern University and Berklee College of Music during the summer.
