"This is a beautiful focal piece for the front room of my house! I use a bigger and softer mallet to help extract a more full sound with a heavier hit, and it is also wonderful to just look at and enjoy in silence. "I bought this gong as a functional display item. One hit & the kids set the table. Two hits mean dinner is ready! The kids love being the ones to strike the gong so I hope it sparks an interest in percussion as much as it makes them get ready for dinner! I've had the gong for a while & the polished surface is still nice and bright"
