A Zildjian Hall of Fame member, Elvin Jones was honored at the first American Drummer Achievement Awards in 1998. This shirt celebrates Elvin's longstanding friendship with the Zildjian family and his many contributions to the drumming community throughout the years. Elvin's sense of timing, polyrhythms, and phrasing helped to bring the drumset to the foreground and dubbed him “the world’s greatest rhythm drummer.” His groundbreaking artistry has continued to influence generations of drummers. Made from the same super-soft, lightweight fabric as our logo tee, this solid black t-shirt has a loose, boxy fit, and features a woven loop Z tag on the bottom hem. Available in unisex sizes small to 3XL. All profits from the sale of this product will be donated to the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund.

"I purchased this shirt to frame with a concert program, ticket and pair of Zildjian 7A Elvin Jones model sticks. I traded my Zildjian cap to Elvin for the sticks he used for his performance at the 1999 Orléans Jazz Festival. I also have the newspapers’ review of the concert which also included Charlie Hayden."
