Kozo Suganuma was born in Osaka, Japan and started to play drums at the age of eight. He became a professional drummer at the age of fifteen and has done many studio recording, concerts tours and sessions. He worked with top drummers such as David Garibaldi, Billy Cobham, Dave Weckl, Sonny Emory, Steve Jordan, Gerald "Jerry" Brown, Simon Phillips, Benny Greb, Tommy Igoe, Peter Erskine, RUSS MILLER and Thomas Lang and many more.
He is known as "TE-KAZ-OH" which means the king of many strokes because of his unique style of playing such as speed strokes, odd time play and trick play.
