Paul Geresy

As a performer, Paul is a musical chameleon who can function in a wide variety of musical settings ranging from touring in Europe with a jazz quintet, sight reading studio sessions and big band gigs, and performing on albums with American Idol Finalists.

As an educator, Paul has taught on all levels and is a strong advocate for developing student centered curriculum that meets the needs of the individual. He’s done this through writing 200 pages of instructional materials that are in use at some of the most respected college music programs in the country.

Paul serves as the first Director of Bands at Merrimack College where he oversees the instrumental performing ensembles. These ensembles perform over 80 times each year and have been featured on national television, with international travel scheduled for Fall 2024.

    Never underestimate what you can get accomplished in a day! No one has done this alone. Even the greats had a mentor. Find a teacher or program that resonates with you. Don't be afraid to carve your own path. There are so many opportunities that intersect the music field. Use your strengths to your advantage!
