I'm a percussionist and educator based in Perth Australia. After 28 years as Principal Percussionist with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, I moved to the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where I'm now Head of Classical Music. It's wonderful working with the students at WAAPA, where I run the percussion department and direct WAAPA's 'Defying Gravity' percussion ensemble. My hope is to assist every student to make their dreams come true, by helping them to create successful careers in music. In 2021 I was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for services to music.
