  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

I am inspired by musical situations where everyone is living solely in the present moment, trusting one another, creating, and grooving with a deep pocket.

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On!' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.” ― Calvin Coolidge

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

For small group jazz I use a 22” Constantinople Light Ride, 14” Constantinople Hi Hats, a vintage 18” Old K Istanbul Crash/Ride with 3 rivets, and my left side ride rotates between: 20” Constantinople Light Ride with 1 rivet; 20” Constantinople Medium-Thin Low; 20” Kerope Crash/Ride; and 22” Constantinople Thin Overhammered Prototype with 2 rivets. For big band jazz I use a 22” Constantinople Medium Ride, 14” Constantinople Hi Hats, a vintage 18” Old K Istanbul crash/ride, and my left side ride rotates between a 20” Constantinople Light Ride with 1 rivet, or a 22” K Medium-Heavy Semi-Dry Low Prototype Ride (from Pasic 2023).
