Alexander Nemirovsky

Alexander Nemirovsky was born in Moldova. He attended The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance under the guidance of percussion teachers Jeffry Kovalsky and Pamela Jones. After that he studied in New York - jazz and latin music by Robby Amen and Richie Flories. Additional studies were undertaken in 2009-2013 with Dan Moshaev, Mark Moshaev and Alon Bor. In summer 2012, Nemirovsky studied in Berlin with Wieland Welzel, Torsten Schonfeld and Rainer Seegers. He is active as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician, and recording artist, concertizing throughout Israel. Nemirovsky joined the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra from 2011- 2015 as Assistant Timpani and Percussion, and since 2015 is Acting Principal Percussionist.
