Born in Taipei, Lider currently is the Principal Timpanist of Guangzhou Symphony and Director of Percussion Studies at Xinghai Conservatory. Besides orchestral performances, he also enjoy playing Jazz and Rock music. He started drumming in high school marching band, where he practiced rudiments like crazy, and soon to join a cover band playing everything from Wham! to Metallica to Madonna...and started learning marimba and timpani in the college.
