  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

I began studying percussion at the age of four through the renowned percussion education system of the Ju Percussion Group in Taiwan. After a decade of classical percussion training, I discovered a deep passion for the drum set, which soon became my primary instrument of focus. In high school, I joined the school’s rock music club, started a band with classmates, and began writing songs. This marked the beginning of my long journey in music creation, during which I was exposed to a wide range of independent music from Taiwan and around the world. My foundation in classical percussion gave me a unique perspective when I first encountered instrumental rock—it was a revelation. The emotional depth and refined sonic textures expressed through rock instrumentation moved me profoundly. This inspiration reached new heights when I discovered toe, the iconic Japanese instrumental rock band. Their drummer, Takashi Kashikura, has been the most influential figure in my creative journey.

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

In an age where digital tools are highly accessible and AI technology is advancing rapidly, preserving the irreplaceable, unreplicable experience of interacting with an audience through a real instrument is something I deeply value—as both a performer and a music lover. In every performance, let your passion for music and your instrument shine through and truly resonate with your listeners.

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

Among Zildjian Cymbals' diverse product lines, I have a particular fondness for almost every series within the K Family. In live performances, I like to use K Family cymbals as the foundation, complemented by special effect cymbals from other families—such as Chinas and Splashes—to create a wide and expressive range of melodic textures.
