For over 25 years, Jay-Marcus Hodge has been a definitive force in the New Orleans music scene, blending world-class Gospel chops with the heavy-hitting pocket of Hip-Hop royalty. For 13 years, Jay-Marcus has served as the rhythmic foundation for Bishop Paul Morton at Greater St. Stephen’s FGBC, a tenure that solidified his reputation for elite precision and soul.
Jay-Marcus is the cornerstone of the legendary Cash Money Records live sound. Following Juvenile’s viral Tiny Desk performance, he took the throne for the 400 Degreez Band, anchoring historic runs including Juvenile’s "Back That Azz Up 25th Anniversary Tour" (2024) and the "Cash Money Millionaires 30th Anniversary Tour" (2025). His versatility has led him to back a roster of icons including the Hot Boys, Big Tymers, 2 Chainz, Scarface, and Bun B. He also served as the powerhouse behind MC Lyte, Twista, and Mia X on LL Cool J’s Rock The Bells cruise alongside Mannie Fresh.
Beyond the stage, Jay-Marcus is a seasoned producer with an elite ear for the studio. He recently collaborated with the legendary Mannie Fresh to produce for Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated Tha Carter VI.
Whether he is in the studio or preparing for his upcoming run on Juvenile’s "Boiling Point Tour" (April–July 2026), Jay-Marcus Hodge relies on the unmatched feel and reliability of Vic Firth sticks and Zildjian cymbals to command the stage.
