Yannick is a professional drummer living in Heerlen, The Netherlands. His father (Berni Bovens) is a touring freelance drummer who taught him the very beginnings of drumming, at the age of 3. Many years later, Yannick joined multiple artists in the studio and on the road playing festivals like Pinkpop, Sziget, Lowlands, Zwarte Cross and more. He has shared the stage with artists like Aïcha Cherif, Jick Munro & The Amazing Laserbeams, Sparrow Falls, The Young Ones, The Rock Show and many more.

Yannick is currently on the road with The Hillbilly Moonshiners Bluegrass Band.

    Weird one to answer since I still consider myself to be part of the "next generation". I'd say; never give up (cliché but hey) and play your butt off! There's no better way to learn.
