Ivan Panella is a session drummer & drum tutor based in London, UK.
Ivan started playing drums when he was 8yo. By the age of 9 he studied privately for over 5 years. Since childhood he developed a natural passion for Rock, Punk & Pop music, which gave him the opportunity to perform in local events and festivals and to adapt his drumming in different situations by the age of 14.
He’s currently drumming with post-hardcore/Metal band Hopes Die Last (IT) and Alt Pop/Rock singer Izzy T (UK/US) as well as session musician for many other bands.
Since 2007 he has been touring & playing festivals across Europe, America, UK, Russia, Asia, Africa & SA. Playing headliners shows as well as opening and sharing the stage with bands like Bring Me The Horizon, The Offspring, Green Day, Underoath and more.
After moving to London he had the pleasure to collaborate and work with several bands and international artists, performing in most of London’s iconic venues, and playing Reading & Leeds festivals. During this time he also had the opportunity to record drums in various studios including the legendary RAK and Abbey Road.
Ivan is also very passionate about teaching drums. As well as giving private tuition he’s also covering the role of headteacher & drum tutor at the London School of Music.
