Laurent-Emmanuel "Tilo" Bertholo, is a drummer from Martinique, known for his unique career and artistic versatility. He started drumming very young, at 3 and a half years old, alongside Romain Pallud (Perfecta, Malavoi) or Jacky Alpha (Falfrett), then continued his musical training in Toulouse where he studied musicology at the conservatory while practicing at the Dante Agostini drum school.
He soon started to play with major figures on the Caribbean scene such as Mario Canonge, Michel Alibo, Thierry Vaton, Ralph Lavital and expanded to international artists such as Andy Narell, Kellvlee Evans, Sly Jonhson
He received good critics while playing with Grégory Privat's trio, especially on the album
Family Tree (ACT Music), which marks a turned point in his career European jazz scene. He was a member of the Big In Jazz Collective, a collective he was a sideman in the studio and on tour (especially at Jazz à Vienne)

Like Somi Kakoma. Malika Tirolien, Jowee Omicil, Kareen Guiock, Rolando Luna, Alune Wade or Jacques Schwart-Bart.
His practice, at the crossroads of Caribbean aesthetics, jazz and current music, makes him a musician who is both anchored and open
