Sam Groveman is an international touring drummer and a viral internet drumming sensation. He tours with The Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio (Soul Jazz artist who released albums that reached #1 and #3 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Albums Chart), Shwayze (artist with multiple songs on the Billboard Hot 100) and has recorded with Ghostface Killah from the Wu-Tang-Clan.
Sam was a finalist in the Primus’ “Interstellar Drum Derby” making the top 8 out of over 6,500 submissions and receiving an in-person audition.
Sam is also known for making fun and inspirational drumming videos featuring many musical styles and recreations of drum samples on the drum kit. He has built a strong online presence with 900K+ followers across various social media platforms. In 2025 alone, Sam hit over 100 million views and was nominated “ 2025 Instagram Drummer
of the Year” by Drumeo. Based in Atlanta, Sam continues to tour, record, inspire and teach percussion to all ages and skill levels.

  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

    When I first started drumming in middle school, playing the drums was the most exciting thing I’d ever done. I was inspired by my favorite drummers and wanted to be just like them. I still have that same joy playing the drums, and just like I was inspired as a kid, I want to now inspire the next generation of drummers.
