Originally from Syracuse, New York, Nate Felty is an experienced, full-time touring drummer for country music artist, Zach Top. Additionally, Nate is also a college educator, holding positions as an adjunct instructor of drum set at Belmont University and Sewanee University of the South in Nashville and Sewanee, Tennessee, respectively. Â
Nate graduated from the State University of New York College at Oswego with bachelor’s degrees in Music and Spanish Language in May, 2012, moving to Nashville, Tennessee in August of the same year. He earned his master’s degree in Commercial Music (Performance Emphasis) from Belmont University in May, 2014.
While with Zach Top, Nate has had the privilege of performing sold out shows in arenas and stadiums, both nationally and internationally. Â He has also performed for television audiences nationwide on shows such as Jimmy Fallon, CMA Fest, The 59th Annual CMA Awards and New Years Eve: Nashville's Big Bash.
When not on tour with Zach Top, Nate strives to make a consistent and positive impact on Nashville’s local music community, performing weekly residencies with notable musicians, clinicians, and educators based in, or visiting, the city. Nate performs a wide range of musical styles as both a reliable bandleader and sideman for other musicians.
