Achim Faerber

Eisbrecher / Automat / Project Pitchfork / Peter Heppner

Started playing drumset the same day I started my first band with my school buddy in 1980. Then playing in local bands until 1983. Joined English/German band Surplus Stock, and did my first recordings and had my first touring experience (Germany, Austria, Hungary). In 1993 joined Phillip Boa And The Voodoo club. A lot of touring and recording the following years. In 1998 joined German singer Joachim Witt, and recorded my first gold an platinum records together with him. In 1999 joined German industrial/Electronic outfit Project Pitchfork... We toured the world since then incl. 4 North American tours. Beginning of 2000's I started to work with more artists in studio and live, artists like Wolfsheim (also toured the U.S. and played sold out shows in wonderful venues like Webster Hall and Henry Fonda Theatre)... Recorded two gold records with them. In 2002 joined American band Tito And Tarantula. Toured extensively the following years until 2005. After that played with Austin/Germany based band Die Krupps and English singer Mark Burgess (The Chameleons). In 2011 became member of Eisbrecher from Munich, Germany. With these guys also toured a lot, and all the records released since then became No.1 records in Germany, three of them got gold status. Inbetween I do a lot theatre work, recording radioplays and work in the studio for other artists like Thomas Cohen from London, Blixa Bargeld (singer of Einstürzende Neubauten from Berlin), Joanna Gemma Auguri, Ben Lukas Boysen (film composer) and much more.....tbc.
