Chuang Tzu-Heng (a.k.a. “Chicken”) from Taipei. He fell in love with drumming at the age of 17 and has been passionate about it ever since. In 2003, he formed the punk band “punkhoo”, and in 2014, the indie band “DSPS”. Active in Taiwan’s indie music scene, he is known for his rhythmic arrangements and his ability to create a flowing auditory experience through his drumming.
In 2006, after “punkhoo” won the “Ocean Indie Music Award” at the “Ho-Hai-Yan Rock Festival”, the band went on to perform at various music festivals and embarked on overseas tours. They have performed in over 30 cities across Asia. In 2020, their album “The Forward Road” earned Chuang a nomination for Best Musician at the 11th “Golden Indie Music Awards”. He has over 20 years of teaching experience.
