I have always been big into music growing up. I started playing the Cello when I was 7, and then picked up the guitar when I was 12. I started learning drums when I was 16. I was sat in a hairdressers and there was a flyer in the window advertising drum lessons and that the first lesson was free, I thought I may as well give it a try, and the rest is history!
I got into music college as a guitarist, but as there was only one other drummer on the course, I had no choice but to drum in the college bands I had been put in despite only having had 2 or 3 lessons at the time. It forced me early on in my journey to drum in a band rehearsal setting a few times a week.
From my teens going into my early 20’s, I had joined a few bands and gigged around the city, getting to know my local scene. I had even played a few shows and festivals outside of my hometown. I was quickly gaining experience as a live musician as well as expanding on my playing skills as a drummer.
I met Charlie and Ollie (SNAYX) in 2021. They played a gig in my hometown and the band I was in at the time were the openers. They saw me play and asked if I did any session work. I had never done any session work before, but I just thought I’d go for it, and I’m glad I did.
I was session drumming for SNAYX for the next 2 years. I was playing in festivals up and down the country, going on tours in the UK and in the EU. It thrust me straight into things I had never experienced before. It also led me to doing a few session gigs for Lambrini Girls in the EU. I have gained memories and experiences that I will never forget.
I officially joined SNAYX in 2023. Since then we have recorded an EP, been nominated for best breakthrough artist at the Heavy Music Awards, played a sold out UK headline tour, and been on tours with lots of bands including Billy Talent and Royal Blood.
