Pascal Thielen

I grew up in a rural area of Germany and was surrounded by tractors for most of my childhood. I especially loved the sounds they were making. When I got into music and started taking drum lessons at the age of 7, it was the same fascination for sound that kept me inspired. I went on to play in local marching bands and orchestras as well as Big Bands and started studying at the Popakademie Mannheim in 2018. That's when I started playing in bands and really got into performing live and recording drums. During an internship at OnlineLessons.tv I was introduced to video making, which lead to me being the drummer, recording and mixing engineer for Art of Drumming's recreating videos on YouTube. Creating and drumming in these videos have become like a ramp for my professional drumming career and lead me to combining both my interest in sound as well as playing and educating. That's why I started doing drum sound and recording workshops in 2023 and am currently planning to do a lot more of them. I'm also excited for what might be waiting for me in regards to working with different artist, live or in the studio.
