The Brandon Sanders Band / Independent

Brandon Sanders was born in 1971 in Kansas City, Kansas . When he was nearly two years old, his mother moved him to Los Angeles. He spent his formative years in Compton, growing up in a musical household. My passion for music was great . His mom played violin and his stepfather played trombone.


Brandon's love of music caught up with him. "After my basketball eligibility at Kansas University, I was trying to figure out what to do so at the age of 25 I decided to teach myself how to play drums. After a couple of years of practicing . I applied to Berklee College of Music and the rest was history. After graduating from Berklee I started to play with the likes of Esperanza Spaulding, Joe Lovano and Tia Fuller to name a few. I am currently with my own band now."

    I love all genres of music. I am inspired by people like Kendrick Scott. His playing inspires me to practice every time I hear him play I'm motivated to keep going because my goal is to inspire people through music.
