Drummer and educator Richie Morales performance and recording credits range from the seminal Jazz-Fusion of the Brecker Brothers, Al DiMeola, and Mike Stern, the Latin Jazz of Gato Barbieri, Ray Barretto and flutist Dave Valentin, the innovative jazz of Dave Brubeck, and George Russell, and the smooth Jazz of Spyro Gyra, Michael Franks, and Grover Washington Jr.
Currently Richie performs with guitarist Mike Stern, and Smooth Jazz singer Michael Franks, and with his own group, performing a mixture of Jazz standards and original music. Richie Morales is a member of the Jazz Studies faculty at Purchase College Conservatory of Music.
